Systems Accountant - Finance Projects
City of London - London
Our client is a global provider of alternative investment products and solutions for private and institutional investors worldwide. It is currently recruiting for a Systems Accountant to lead finance projects with specific involvement in the planning and budgeting systems.
•Working on change and development team projects – with specific focus on the development of the finance systems; improvement, implementation and upgrading where necessary;
•Working with the Head of Finance Systems and Projects, and members of the Finance Project Group to ensure the strategic development of the finance systems;
•Ensuring knowledge of all finance systems is maintained at all levels, whilst also providing support to users during testing, implementation, and production running;
•Resource Management: run finance projects as delegated to by the Head of Finance Systems and Projects, whilst providing the project management function within Finance;
•Build relationships and liaise with counterparts in other areas of the business.
Skills/Experience:
You will be a qualified accountant and have experience in the development and testing of complex financial systems, whilst also participating in project teams implementing technology orientated systems and processes. Experience of implementing finance systems particularly accounting systems on database platforms will also be essential to this role. You will come from a services environment, preferably with a financial services organisation, and have an ability to identify and analyse problems whilst also being able to implement solutions. Strong communication skills will also be very important, as you will be the driver of communication within systems and projects teams as much as out to finance generally.
