Systems Architect

An excellent opportunity to work for a leading baggage handling systems company based near London.


Key Accountabilities • To manage the customer’s expectations of system capability at an operational and technical level through an intimate understanding of the Users Requirements
• To manage the concept design and iteratively develop with the customers stakeholders, project integration manager and other design team disciplines (e.g. Low Level Controls, Electro-Mechanical, Safety, Networks, IT platform, etc)
• To specify the design of a system at the operational, technical and commercial levels
• To own the design of a system and maintain its integrity
• To select the implementation technologies
• To form technical partnerships with 3rd party suppliers.
• To specify “external” system interfaces

Knowledge • Usually has degree in appropriate discipline
• Experience of Business Process Engineering and Requirements Management disciplines
• Experience of Change Management and Configuration Management disciplines
• Experience in system engineering or system validation OR delivery of technical automation
• Experience of process or automated production industries
