Systems Engineering Manager (Defence) – circa £60,000
The Systems Engineering Manager will provide a Systems Engineering Management footprint at the centre of the platform design and development team, acting as Point of Contact, facilitating communication and where necessary, providing an initial point of arbitration for design conflict.
The Systems Engineering Manager will actively engage with the team in the definition and development of platform systemic attributes and concept physical architecture, communicating design options and constraints to a multi-disciplined team throughout all project phases.
Our blue chip client is part of a large US corporation and a major player in the defence sector. The company is a well established and reputable supplier to the UK, international governments, Ministry of Defence ( MOD ) and other industry organisations.
The successful Systems Engineering Manager will have a relevant engineering qualification or the equivalent practical experience and a proven track record in the design and development of platforms from concept through to series production. Contemporary knowledge of existing and emerging technologies in the areas of automotive, survivability and vetronic systems will be advantageous and a background in military vehicle systems engineering is desirable although not essential.
