Leading electronics organisation require an experienced Technical Analysis and Verification Manager to join their expanding organisation in Hampshire.

This role concerns management of a specialist service department to the UK Design Engineering function. The successful candidate will be required to manage and motivate a team of Technical Analysis (e.g. thermal analysis and CFD) and Verification / Test engineers. The ideal candidate will have a track record of management within an R&D or high technology products sector.

This role will involve direct management of engineers and scientists involved in R&D projects and design support relating to complex software controlled electromechanical capital equipment, creating and delivering a departmental operating plan, seeing that key hardware and software tools are provided to match resource skills and abilities, resource planning, managing, motivating and leading a high calibre team involved in complex analysis and verification tasks as well as continuous improvement preferably through a Six Sigma process.

Candidates should have a good higher degree or post graduate qualification in engineering or science. A good track record of managing high calibre technical teams, combined with operational budget creation and task delivery is required. Must be an excellent communicator with proven management experience in scientific or R&D operations, track record in creation and delivery of departmental operational budgets and excellent leadership and motivational skills.

Desirable knowledge includes an understanding of reliability analysis, knowledge and experience in data-based continuous improvement, a sound understanding of measurement principles and sources of error, expertise in data analysis, collation, interpretation, reporting and storing.
