Technical Analyst

Systems Development - Technical Analyst:

Technical Analyst required with excellent Websphere implementation and support awareness, ideally on an HP-UX platform. System/Application delivery experience in a large organisation would be beneficial, as would relevant certifications and demonstrable recent experience. This is a third/fourth line role and often acts as final point of escalation therefore established knowledge of the technical discipline and awareness of others is required.
Skills required:
Installation of WAS V6 in Network Deploy, configuration of HP-UX and Wintel Infrastructure.
Creation and support of pre-production and production environments.
Deployment of applications on to WAS infrastructure.
Troubleshooting of Websphere Infrastructure and processes.
Follow and suggest improvements as appropriate.
Support the application development teams as appropriate.
Network Topology and ability to configure static and default routes.
Awareness of system and network security and appreciation of high availability concepts and architectures.
Practical experience of ITIL best practices and an appreciation of SOX and FSA.
