Technical Architect - Infrastructure

Infrastructure Technical Architect is required for the development services & support team which exists within the Offender Information Services, NOMS. The teams vision is to provide project stakeholders with well founded confidence that their requirements (functional & non functional) of IT enabled business applications have been successfully met. The team does this by providing a technical review service, A project/live system enhancement review service and a delivery assurance service (using a set of quality gates). Yow will be working with technical architect peers (at G7/G6 grades or equivalent) in assuring projects across specific technical domains and will provide timely updates to the internal project manager and as required to other program managers. You will provide the technical authority for the delivered products and maintain a comprehensive view of the relevant systems, architectures, components and functions. Infrastructure TA will be proficient in Server technologies, Data centres, Networks, (SANs), Virtualisation and Infrastructure security components (Firewalls, intrusion detection etc) along with Infrastructure environment's (test, development, production etc.). Prince 2 exposure an advantage, TOGAF and tech architecture qualifications would also be an advantage.
