C£60,000 Plus bonus and package

This c£27m turnover, private equity backed business has a vision to be the most effective and innovative provider of engineered solutions in its field. It is the market leader in the UK and has expanded its presence in key international markets. Constant new and existing product development is at the core of this strategy.

Reporting to the CEO, this new position will take responsibility for R&D, production engineering and Q A teams. It will be highly visible in the organisation and will have a clear commercial, market driven focus to it, for much of the development will be related to field based activity and its link with the design, manufacturing and supply chain functions.

Your specific industry experience is of less importance than the leadership, managerial skills and attributes which you will bring, although experience with robotics, control and display systems, remote access or communications equipment will be a distinct advantage.

Functionally and technically you will be competent in mechanical, electrical and, essentially, electronic engineering with experience in all areas of the role in question. There will be clear evidence in your career of cross functional team involvement and a disciplined approach to project management which has successfully delivered a stream of new and existing product development internationally. This will have been in a highly customer and market driven environment.
