This client delivers a complete range of optronic products, systems and services to government and commercial customers across the globe. They have a presence on all the major international defence programmes, providing key detection and surveillance solutions and support to air, naval and land forces.
They are now responsible for acting as the expert customer for the design and production of Electro-Optic systems, specifically for a suite of Surveillance and Target Acquisition elements for use by dismounted soldiers.
The successful applicant will be based out of our client's office in Bristol managing a small STA technical team, with direct responsibility for all STA performance aspects. You will also work closely with the STA Programme Manager to also ensure delivery to schedule and cost.
Responsibility of Technical Manager
+Co-ordinate activities of cross-functional teams to ensure that equipment is effectively verified and validated and brought into service
+Liaise with customers and suppliers to analyse and manage system requirements
+Manage and co-ordinate the activities of all the various stakeholders
Experience required of Technical Manager
+Systems Engineer with good understanding of Optronics
+Strong experience and understanding of Assessment/development and Manufacture phased of the CADMID lifecycle
+Previous experience of Supply Chain interaction and technical management
+Degree or equivalent in Engineering
+Pro-active team player
+Strong customer focus
+Persuasive, confident individual who has personal credibility and respect within the organisation
