Technical Manager – Womenswear

This high end multi channel fashion retailer is recruiting for a technical manager to join their womenswear team.

As the tech manager for this thriving brand, your main responsibility would be to effectively translate the vision of the creative director into technical specifications using CAD. You will also be largely responsible for the complete product development cycle including liaising with suppliers and sealing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating technical and size specifications using CAD for communication to factories and also other departments within the company

• Developing blocks for garment production

• Assessing the functionality of each garment by conducting regular fit sessions

• Recording fit sessions results for each garment into an organised format

• Managing the testing of each garment including requesting test reports and analysing the findings

• Liaising with factories concerning garment construction and conducting visits when necessary to ensure that garments and accessories meet the predetermined standards

• Ensuring that each garment has the appropriate aftercare instructions applied to it

• Evaluating the functionality of all trimmings and embellishment

You will have experience of managing a large team. You will need to have a strong technical background with a proven track record in developing technical standards. This company is seeking someone who has a good eye for detail in order to ensure that this range is produced to a high quality.
