Technical Support Analyst - Front Office IT

My client is a leading asset manager based in the City, London. We are looking to recruit a Technical Support Analyst for the Front Office IT team on a permanent basis.

Please note only candidates with experience within asset management, in particular experience of LatentZero or other investment order management systems will be considered.

Salary: £45k - £50k basic

Role Purpose
• To be part of a dedicated Business Application Support team to support business as usual activity and future business initiatives.
• Ensure project deliverables are documented and capable of being supported long-term within the business application support (BAS) team
• Diagnosing problems with production dealing systems, resolving data issues.
• To provide occasional development support for small project work
• Provide a professional and high quality application support service

Main Responsibilities
• Aid in the development of structured support processes for the Business Applications Support team
• Provide software documentation to agreed standards
• Work with the project and support teams to implement connections to new brokers as required
• Work with business users and application support teams in ensuring daily data flows are proactively monitored and that timely and remedial action is taken in the event of failure.
• Develop MI demonstrating process effectiveness
• Support introduction of tools for formal release management and problem tracking
• Facilitate in the successful delivery of small projects into the production environment
• Contribute to improvements in the application support environment
• Provide application support, enhancements and testing to agreed quality
• In conjunction with other support areas and 3rd-parties provide agreed levels of systems availability
• Utilise the application support and change management systems effectively

Skills & Knowledge
• IT qualifications or equivalent
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• IMC or other Investment Management qualification or equivalent
• Latent Zero system, configuration and trade flow.
• General understanding of the investment management business
• SQL / Unix / Perl / MQ series
• Understanding of standard IT practices in an operational environment
• Understanding of IT operating environment
• Ability to develop clear and precise business requirement documentation and supporting technical documentation
• Understanding of small scale development lifecycle
• Have experience of Order management systems
• Have experience of SQL and Oracle problem solving
• Experience of equity and fixed income products
• Experience with Business process management software
