Tunnelling Engineer In Hong Kong- Associate / Proj

A vacancy has arisen for talented Tunnelling Engineers to work in Hong Kong, Asia for this well-known multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy

In this role you will be required to manage the design and delivery of several major railway/metro infrastructure projects in a range of Asian markets including Hong Kong, Beijing, Vietnam and Singapore.

This is a rapidly growing area of the business and opportunities exist for several different levels of engineers from Senior Engineer to Senior Associate positions. Candidates with more qualified work experience could be considered as a senior role and Asia project experience would be advantageous. In addition to design experience, some knowledge of tunnel boring machines, micro-tunnelling equipment would also be considered an advantage.

Essential Requirements and Responsibilities:

·Design management skills in underground works

·Extensive tunnel design experience including TBMs, bored tunnels, immersed tunnels

·Honor Degree in Civil/Structural Geotechnical or Engineering. MA/MSc or PhD will be an advantage

·10 years of professional experience in tunnelling is required for the positions of Senior Associate/Associate

·A strong background in rock mechanics, soil mechanics, FEM analysis, and construction engineering

·Skills in numerical modeling such as: UNWEDGE, PHASE2, PLAXIS 3D Tunnel, FLAC3D

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
