Tunnelling Manager - Singapore

A vacancy for a Tunnelling Manager has arisen in Singapore to work with a prestigious, international, construction company.

My client is seeking talented individuals that are ready to progress into the role of Tunnelling Manager or for candidates that would to change into a role with real progression opportunities. (This role will probably not suit experience Tunnelling Managers however I do have other roles available and you can contact me at cbowman@rgb.co.uk).

To be considered for the role, you should at least 10+ years of experience within tunnelling and be familiar with TBM (Tunnel Boring Machines), ideally EPB (Earth Pressure Balance Machines). The role would include procurement, planning and execution and candidates should demonstrate experience within these areas.

The project has already commenced and tunnelling works are due to start in Jan 2012 and will last for around 2.5 years. The project is 2 x tunnel drives, each being 300m long. The project is an urban tunnel for an MRT (Mass Rail Transit) and it is situated under a public road so it is quite a high risk project. The project will also l include stations, cut and cover works and shotcrete.

You should ideally have Asian experience and candidates that can communicate in Chinese will have a distinct advantage.
