UK and Ireland Business Development Manager

Our Client is the global market leader in the field of dedicated application software for the management of large scale events. The software is designed to hold and manage bookings, allocate agency commissions, tracks sales and enquiries, create timetables, manage groups and provide optimum room configurations.
With prestige UK clients including some of the most famous names in the Premiership, some of the UK’s most esteemed museums, strong government contracts and an excellent name in the catering industry, our Client expects to continue its strong growth record irrespective of broader economic conditions.
To this end we are looking to appoint an individual to operate as a business development manager for the UK and Ireland.
Key responsibilities will include:
Controlling and participating in all stages of the sales process
Expanding business identified in existing accounts
Developing relationships with strategic partners to maximise opportunities
Producing sales and forecast reports when needed
Developing and executing marketing strategies and sales budgets as agreed with the General Manager
Demonstrating at exhibitions and fairs where appropriate
Work closely with Client Services to ensure first rate implementation and post sales support
In order to be successful in this role you will be able to rapidly grasp the concepts and markets that are services by the Client’s technology.
You will have established yourself in a previous business to business sales environment (not necessarily software)
You will be entrepreneurial, capable of formulating sales strategies as well as taking responsibility for achieving your goals
You will be able to coordinate and manage the sales process for yourself and others
