VAT Manager

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Tax specialist.

CORE RESPONSIBILITES
As a VAT Specialist you will be required to interpret and keep up to date with VAT law, regulations and notices and provide training and advice to our colleagues and clients on a range of UK and European VAT areas. You will be required to review VAT returns and offer specialist support and advice to our accountancy teams and tax colleagues on all issues relating to VAT compliance.

You will have regular contact with clients and will deal with a variety of issues including:-
Cross Border Transactions – Place of Supply
Electronically supplied services
Liasing with Revenue & Customs on VAT enquiries
Managing our client's International VAT / GST return filings
8th/13th Directive refund claims

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
The ideal candidate must have a sound working knowledge of HM Revenues and Customs and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of current VAT issues. The ability to interpret legislation and communicate effectively is essential as is the ability to produce a high standard of work and meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have a positive and flexible attitude and a firm understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
