Procurement and Programme Manager
Porton Down - South West
You will be working for an agency of the Ministry of Defence.
Your role as Procurement and Project Manager will be to Strategically Source for procurement support for major projects and ’business related’ procurement. You will lead and manage the overall procurement support through effective contracts with suppliers. You will utilise EU directives and make use of procurement approaches such as e-sourcing. You will provide direct support as appropriate and act as an advisor on issues such as commercial approaches. You will develop strong relationships with major stakeholders and participate in programme and project management including Gateway Reviews. You will also be expected to use performance assessment to measure supplier performance.
The successful candidate will be an effective negotiator, ideally SC Cleared and will have previous experience in a public sector role.
