Business Design Manager

My client, a large Central Government Organisation, are looking for an experienced Business Design Manager to join their team on an initial 6 month contract.

Job description:
*To initiate and lead the development of the operating model options and evaluate these against a set of agreed design principles
* To initiate and lead engagement/consultation with senior management and staff on the operating model options, collate and analyse feedback
* To develop and organisation design framework and tools to enable the operating model to be implemented across the department
* To develop a process for capturing staff information needed to support the staff resourcing model
* To develop an implementation approach for embedding the staff resourcing model across the department
* To support the overall Programme in delivering the flexible resourcing model
* Demonstrable project management experience in a complex programme environment with minimum of 5 years experience
* Excellent/high level oral and written communication skills to enable effective communication on a wide range of issues to a diverse audience
* A capacity for innovative and creative thinking
* An ability to develop strong and positive relationships with people at all levels
* Ability to present information in a range of formats, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy

Essential Experience:

*An in-depth knowledge and experience of Information Management, Information Workflows and Information legislation such as the Public Records Act and Data Protection Act
*A sound understanding of the workings of typical Business Operating Models, in particularly the workings of Government departments, with key functions such as procurement, commercial and finance management.
*Experience in coordinating, running and documenting workshops to solicit key business insights from internal teams and work flow information flow bottlenecks and process issues.
*Be familiar with ISO 9001 for Programme Management, including document management.
*Experience in identifying, mapping and developing business processes and their workflows / information flows, using industry standard approaches such as DAMA- DBOK IM Framework, to develop the necessary process diagrams.

Desirable Experience:

*Risk and Issue management in a multi project/stakeholder environment.
*PRINCE 2, P3O or an equivalent level of experience or with experience of similar programme management methodology.
