Arch Timber Protection provides an innovative, chemistry-based range of industrial wood preservatives and fire retardants, as well as added value technical and engineering support, to diverse markets ranging from garden decking and landscape products to heavy duty utility poles and building construction.

This newly created role has been established to take responsibility for continuing the successful, profitable growth of the company’s range of Fire Retardant Wood Protection Products for the UK and EMEA region. This is an excellent ‘hands on’ opportunity to combine strategic business development responsibility with practical sales management and customer support, including the direct management a Product Manager. Your challenging and comprehensive brief will include;

• Ensuring that volume, turnover and gross margin targets are achieved.
• Technical selling via architects/specifiers in the UK and agents and distributors for export markets.
• Directing and working closely with the Product Manager and technical services, engineering, marketing and operations colleagues, in order to integrate marketing and technical strategies/developments that will promote and develop the company as the leading supplier of fire retardants for wood.
• Preparing sales forecasts and budgets and setting pricing levels which will maximize financial return.

Educated to a good level, candidates must have previous business development/sales experience in a in a chemical or allied, added value, technical product environment involving specification selling, ideally on a European basis. This role may suit candidates seeking progression into their first Sales Management role.
