Project Manager (Oil and Gas)
London - Home Based
FINTEC recruit is looking for a Project Manager for our client who is a leading marine and engineering consultancy. This is a permanent role based in London, with overseas travel, and a salary £55,000 - £65,000 based on experience.
Role and Responsibilities
Lead a team on a variety of projects, being fully responsible for ensuring all project objectives and specifications are met in the most cost effective and safe way.
* Undertake Marine Warranty Surveys and shipping consultancy work
* Vessel suitability surveys
* Tendering and securing work
* Meet clients to review progress and resolve any issues arising
* Establish basic work plans for engineering, procurement, project control, construction planning, commissioning and QA
* Recruit staff and contractors to the team
* After hours duty surveyor when required
The ideal candidate for the Project Manager (Energy, Oil and Gas) role will
* Have either MSc/MEng Marine, Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or be Master Mariner Class 1 Unlimited
* Be a Chartered Engineer
* Ideally have sailed as a Master or served as Chief Engineer
* Possess an understanding of Marine Warranty Surveying
* Have excellent Project Management Skills - planning, document review, staff management
* Be able to travel to projects internationally
The successful candidate for the Project Manager (Oil and Gas) role will have good communication and team working skills. You will also have excellent spoken and written English in order to complete complex warranty documentation and reports.
