Support Engineers - Software/Electrical/Mechanica

My clients in Cambridgeshire are looking for Technical Support Engineers - Software/Electrical/Mechanical.

These roles are commutable from Newmarket, Royston, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely, St. Neots, Biggleswade, Sandy.

JOB PURPOSE:
You will be ultimately be responsible for becoming the technical authority (Go-to Person) on all company products used within the High End Beverage sector providing software/electrical/mechanical engineering support for key customers, OEM's and Channels.
Duties will include technical requirements capturing, solutions development, pre-installation, installation and post-installation support for all products sold through the Sector.
This is an international role that will involve overseas travel.

KEY TASKS / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Conduct site surveys and capture technical requirements.
- Provide technical specifications for installation and operation of coding equipment and interfacing modules.
- Manage the design and implementation of application specific components (e.g. interface boxes, IT, cables).
- Assist with strategic global installations.
- Provide technical documentation for both internal and external customers.
- Attend all necessary training courses to become technically proficient in all products sold into the sector.
- Provide application advice.
- Work with Key sector OEM's.
- Assist with product demonstrations and trials.
- Advise and or provide technical training on application specific systems.
- Provide telephone and E-mail support to Global sector MNC's and partners.

COMPETENCIES:
- Educated to degree level (or with equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline.
- Self-managing with excellent customer interfacing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Substantial experience in a similar international role.
- Expert knowledge in areas such as CIJ, Laser, Print & Apply and software products.
- An analytical approach to problem solving, with the ability to investigate faults to component level.

Salary: up to £50,000 pa plus benefits.
