Systems Solutions Consultant / Projects Manager -

My clients in Cambridgeshire are looking for a Systems Solutions Consultant / Projects Manager - Printing Technologies.

This role is commutable from Newmarket, Royston, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely, St. Neots, Biggleswade, Sandy.

The Solutions Consultant provides a consultative and project management role to the team, delivering solutions to the customer and is an essential part of the Global Sector Solutions team. The team's work involves the integration of the company's printing technologies to create automated printing solutions for customers. The Solutions consultant will be hands on providing expert knowledge in helping customers realise their needs, it will also provide leadership ensuring successful delivery and execution of projects. The Global sector solutions team will provide technical and project management expertise to sales channels around the world.

KEY TASKS / ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Pre- sales support:
- Provide technical Lead and support during the sales cycle.
- Provide site surveys to determine the most appropriate installation of equipment and to document the requirements fully.
- Provide functional and technical specification to the customer.
- Give assistance to the Sales Managers during demonstrations either in-house or at customer sites.
Project Management:
- Take ownership of Global Sector Solutions projects.
- Manage and Co-Ordinate with the development teams (Internal / External) to ensure the solution meets the requirements.
- Manage & co-ordinate training materials to ensure Solutions can be rolled out through the channels.
Project Installation:
- Manage and co-ordinate Technical Engineering resources assigned to the project.
- Drive the execution process to ensure successful delivery of projects to enable realisation of revenue targets.
- Ensure that the company provides functional and technical specifications to the customer & obtains commitment and sign off prior to commencing project work.
- Provide comprehensive project plans that specify all necessary resources to fulfil system delivery within agreed timelines.
- Liaise with suppliers and other third parties to ensure technical suitability of the solutions.
- Work with the team to ensure the system is fully tested prior to installation.
- Each project installation should be written up in a standard format and filed for future reference.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
- A Software or Engineering background.
- Experience of Systems or Business Analysis in a production environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
- Interfacing systems (e.g. ISA-95 model).
- Good Knowledge of Barcode printing and reading.
- Good practical knowledge of IT infrastructure.
- Experience of production environments in sectors such as: Food, Beverage or Life sciences.
- Knowledge of printing technologies; Laser, CIJ, DOD, TTO and Print and Apply would be an advantage.
