The Organisation:
The Green Recruitment Company is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for design the design of substations and distribution networks (up to 132kV) for a leading engineering design consultancy.

Responsibilities:

* To design contestable connection schemes in accordance with engineering directives
* To design and modify electrical schematics (cable route layout, substation layout, single line diagrams etc.) with the use of AutoCAD
* Responsibility for full design management through project lifecycle
* Designing electrical distribution networks
* Design of electrical field systems, cable schedule design etc.
* Responsibility for design calculations including load flow, voltage drop analysis, cable sizing etc. as per DNO specification
* Undertake site visits to confirm and ascertain information of relevance to the planning design
* Provision of technical advisory for supporting teams
* Management and organisation of own workload/ portfolio of work, designing to timescale, budget and quality
* The above list is not exhaustive of all duties

Required Skills:

* Experienced within an electrical engineering discipline
* Electrical design experience within a similar capacity to the above
* Working knowledge of design standards and DNO design specifications
* Team Player
* Excellent communication skills
