Our client is looking for an Engineering Workshop Manager in Aberdeen. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation with a strong ethos of customer service and employee development. This company specialises in designing, developing, manufacturing and selling their specialised engineering and service products to a spectrum of clients.

This is a unique opportunity to join an established team and to be able to develop your engineering, business and leadership skills, knowledge and career with a highly successful and dynamic business, reporting to the Managing Director.

As the Engineering Workshop Manager You Will Be Responsible For:

* Leading and managing the workshop team with a focus on the quality of engineering work and capacity planning, optimising staff levels to match workflow and providing performance plans and targets for team members.
* Planning, leading, organizing, and supervising the day to day activities of the workshop, controlling the quality of repairs, deadlines, implementation of HSEQ standards.
* Managing and maintaining key client relationships and service contracts locally.
* Maintaining a safe and clean work environment ensuring that all health, safety and environmental requirements and records are met and completed.
* Plan and organise any required training to cover for health safety and environmental obligations.
* Reviewing and improving processes and procedures for the workshop and identifying opportunities for developing service business with clients which help grow company revenues and profitability.

To Be Successful As An Engineering Workshop Manager You Will Ideally Be:

* Experienced in this field with qualifications in electro / mechanical engineering, ideally to HNC level or above (or equivalent qualification)
* Have a track record of success in a similar environment covering at least 3 years, working as a senior manager, ideally with a commercial focus.
* Have excellent mechanical and electrical maintenance diagnostic and repair skills and be able to work as a coach to develop team capacity and capability.
* Background of working independently, developing management reports and recommendations which are used to help make decisions on how the business is run and could be developed further.
* Have excellent people management, coaching, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be able to operate at both the hands on and strategic levels, develop and grow a team to scale in line with the business plan.

Salary: GBP 50k plus Bonus and Benefits
