Our client is part of a worldwide well-established global brand, and is looking to appoint an accomplished and highly skilled Head of IT. This role sits within the IT department and IT shared services.
Due to business growth, our client is looking for an experienced Head of IT to report directly into the MD and who has previously been a senior member of a dynamic IT department.

The role requirements

The main purpose of the role is to provide experienced strategic leadership for the IT department and project manage the integration and implementation of constantly developing products and services. This role therefore entails producing and implementing an IT strategy to meet future business and system requirements. The successful candidate will head up a team of six IT professionals within a business unit of circa 300 employees. Occasional UK travel to visit clients is expected.

Key Skills

Extensive experience within a senior IT role managing all areas of a busy IT department
Professional client facing manner and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent project management skills, ideally PRINCE 2 certified
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology suite from a user and development perspective
Excellent problem solving skills with acute attention to detail
