This large European food group employs over 5000 people. It develops, manufactures and sells high- quality food products to the retail and food service sectors. With a turnover of in excess of £1billion it has market leading positions in many segments throughout Europe including the UK.

Recent refocusing within the bakery division has resulted in a new opportunity for a technically biased Account Manager.

This is a new opportunity with responsibility for a small team. Key result areas:

• Support of the UK commercial team by developing strong technical relationships with key customers.

• Managing and leading all technical communications between the company and its customers as well as between internal functions including R&D and Manufacturing.

• Managing projects including own label product launches

The role would suit a graduate calibre technical food person who has successfully moved into the commercial arena and who has experience of dealing with the major retail chains.

You must have commercial, project and people management skills developed in the food manufacturing or distribution sector. You must also demonstrate excellent communication skills. Knowledge of the bread or cakes sector would be advantageous.
