Lead Network Engineer / Analyst - Infrastructure

Our client is looking for a talented, energetic, and motivated senior-level network engineer / analyst to support the company’s network infrastructure across the EMEA region. Working collaboratively within IT and with key stakeholders, the successful candidate will better understand needs and propose technical solutions for business problems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

- Supporting the data and voice environment across the region which includes firewalls, VPN, switches, routers, WAN optimizers, Talari and VoIP telephony infrastructure
- Providing after hours and escalation support for our client's 24x7 data and voice environment (e.g. supporting system outages and incident response scenarios)
- Managing incident ticket response and resolution, including working with end users
- Troubleshooting physical, data, and network layer issues across servers and end points
- Ensuring that all network systems software is kept current and appropriately patched
- Planning and performing Cisco authorized patching of the voice and data environment
- Ensuring that the network infrastructure is secure and meets Information Security policies, guidelines and requirements at all times
- Anticipating current and future business needs and growth and through proper planning ensuring that EMEA’s network environment is ready to meet those needs
- Working alongside and in cooperation with other IT teams to troubleshoot issues
- Coordinating and directing the deployment of IP phones across the region
- Using monitoring tools to gauge overall health of network systems and services such Cisco Call Manager, Juniper VPN, Cisco WebEx and Jabber
- Participating in worldwide network architecture design, growth discussions and initiatives
- Delivering network projects using approved project management methodologies
- Managing network vendor relationships to ensure the company is getting value for money from its date and voice agreements and contracts and to optimise support processes

Lead Network Engineer / Analyst candidates require the following:

- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
- Minimum of 8 years hands-on experience supporting Cisco data and voice environments - 6 years demonstrated experience working within a diverse UNIX, Windows and, Linux environment
- Must possess the ability to design enterprise network architectures that involved using switching, routing, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, LAN/WAN/WLAN, TCP/IP and Cisco iOS's QoS features
- Must have experience deploying and maintaining IPSEC and SSL VPNs and GRE tunnels
- At least 3 years experience deploying, troubleshooting and managing firewalls (Palo Alto Networks preferred)
- Experience managing voice and data vendors and driving them to deliver quality services and prompt effective support
- Must be flexible in terms of availability and ability to travel to other regional offices
