EMEA Financial Controller

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with an International business who are looking to recruit an EMEA Financial Controller for their Oxford based head office. Reporting to the Finance Director and supervising a small team, you will be responsible for running the month-end process, statutory accounting, budgeting & forecasting, implementing new financial controls and all costing activities. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts with cost-centre managers
• Managing the annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting process for the International business
• Supporting the Executive team with analysis of monthly budgets versus actuals, and commentary at both group and subsidiary level
• Preparing cash flows and managing working capital including inventory, trade debtors and creditors
• Liaising with external auditors regarding annual Statutory Accounts and external Audits
• Implementing financial controls & procedures across all ledgers and manufacturing processes to mitigate risk
• Supporting the subsidiaries regarding month-end reporting and consolidations
• Assisting with transfer pricing projects, and responsible for all international tax & regulatory queries

To be considered for the role, you should be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Financial Controller with international experience in a fast-paced and challenging environment with proven technical accounting skills and reporting/business analysis skills. With excellent personal presentation, credibility and gravitas to work with Board of Directors on a regular basis, you should also have experience of multi-currency issues, group reporting, inventory and inter-company accounting. Experience of supporting non-finance managers is critical, as are strong staff management skills and an analytical mindset to help the management team drive the business forward.
