SAP Finance Business Process Manager (SAP FICO) sought to work in a business focused technical role for an extremely reputable organisation, based in Guildford, Surrey.
Successful candidates will have a strong technical understanding based around SAP Finance/FICO functionality, capability and configuration. This will need to be coupled with commercial awareness and understanding of the end user group.

Key Responsibilities:
* Providing expert technical and application advice, especially around SAP Finance
* To develop and manage a small team of Decision Support Specialists (Business Objects & SAP-BW)
* Responsible for business case development and planning
* Overall responsibility for technical functionality delivered by the applications
* Responsibility for ensuring user expertise and sustainability is established
* Identification and delivery of year-on-year improvements in business processes and strategic utilisation of IS within Finance functions
* Compliance with appropriate legislative requirements
* Facilitate and manage the project prioritisation process to ensure that resources are allocated optimally.

Requirements
* Degree level qualification in a Finance relevant subject or a professional Accountancy qualification
* Strong experience in the use of SAP application, especially around SAP Finance functionality, capability and configuration. SAP Finance modules/areas include AP, AR, New GL, FA.
* Experience of SAP Invoice Management would be a distinct advantage.
* Good understanding and experience of systems development lifecycle
* Good understanding of Integration with SD and MM.
* FICO technical understanding of ABAP, user exits, BAPIs and BADIs
* Proven track record of leading and making significant contribution to successful delivery of projects
* Functional knowledge of other Finance related applications will be an advantage
* Experience of working in at least 2-3 SAP life cycle projects, including the latest versions
* Experience in the use of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) functionality will be an advantage
* Understanding of reporting/data retrieval technologies/techniques would also be an advantage
* Must be a self starter and be able to re-prioritise activities to suit the dynamic business conditions
* Experience in dealing with local solutions and processes versus global processes
* Extensive knowledge of business processes and application functionality to enable the resolution of complex problems.
Willingness to travel a requirement of the role, both within the UK and potentially to Munich - amount of travel will vary based on project involvement.
