Financial Controller

I have here a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to act as a focal point for a world wide organisation. Based in Fife this vacancy will appeal to those with a proven ability to improve the efficiency of an entire Finance operation. This manufacturing organisation has a superb reputation and has proven themselves as being market leaders within their sector.

Directly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer the Financial Controller will be expected to:

- Take Financial ownership of the P&L account, balance sheet and free cash flow
- Manage a team of accountants, setting objectives and priorities
- Build strong relationships with the senior management team as well as the board of directors to ensure the finance operation can influence the wider business and strategy
- Improve existing processes and systems to drive efficiency
- Ensure reporting output to senior management and board members is of the highest standards, easy to understand and fit for purpose
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Chief Financial Officer and other directors
- Act as designate CFO as required

The person specification requires the successful candidate to:

- Be a Qualified Accountant with 5 years PQ experience
- Have previous Financial Controller experience
- Have worked in a big company environment
- Be experienced with both SAP and COGNOS processes
- Have strong leadership skills
- Be able to drive change
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a strong knowledge of both UK and International Accounting Standards

It must be noted that it would be advantageous to be able to speak either French, Spanish or German however, French is preferential.
