VP - Internal Audit wholesale credit risk - London

An immediate opportunity has arisen for an experienced Internal Auditor - Credit Risk to join our client, a leading international bank based in London

Key responsibilities of the Internal Auditor - Credit Risk will include:
-Immediate support for an audit of IMM/ CRD4/CCR/ CCP/CVA regulatory compliance, with support needed to audit the related credit risk management processes
-Preparation of test scripts
-Carrying out testing of scripts with clients
-Compliance assessments
-Interviewing of clients and minuting of the same
-Documentation of issues and risks identified
-Provide comprehensive controls assurance and review
-Desktop walkthroughs of processes including validation of design and operation
-Programme assurance and project closure review
-Provide controls and governance advice to clients
-Set up client meeting and conference calls
-Validate and confirm outstanding issues including client confirmations

The ideal Internal Auditor - Credit Risk will possess the following attributes/skills:
-Good knowledge of credit risk management processes and regulations within a global bank; gained either as an internal auditor, or through involvement with models and regulatory aspects of CRR and IRBA.
-Quant experience desirable but not essential.
-The candidate will need to have a strong appreciation of risks and controls applicable to the Credit risk function (CRM) and testing of related controls to ensure compliance with regulation
-Good knowledge of credit risk management processes and regulations within a global investment bank; gained either as an internal auditor, or through involvement with models and regulatory aspects of CRR/IMM/CRD4.
-The individual will need to demonstrate that they are self motivated and innovative, can work effectively as part of a team whilst being flexible in the way they approach their work, have strong communication skills and work effectively under pressure
-Ability to effectively multitask in a fast paced environment; prioritise their workload with minimal supervision and be resilient under pressure
-The candidate should have excellent written/verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels
-Excellent team working capabilities and an ability to build strong business and team relationships
-Strong strategic/analytical thinking
-Excellent project management and planning skills

ACA, MBA or equivalent

Salary: Circa £90k (negotiable)+excellent flexible bens
