My client are a leading technical consultancy with an enviable reputation in the Basel area.
They are currently seeking to hire a freelance System Administrator / Support Analyst to work on site with one of their most valued end clients.
The requirements of the role:
* 1st level support for server systems Physical & Virtual (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris).
* Knowledge of server operating systems, LINUX, UNIX (Solaris, AIX).
* Good knowledge of scripts (Perl, Schell, Bash).
* Experience in the operation of a large IT infrastructure.
* Knowledge of server virtualization (VMware, AIX LPAR).
* Knowledge in the ITSM solution HP Service Manager beneficial.
Tasks:
* 1st level support for server systems Physical & Virtual (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris)
* Automating processes using scripts.
* Scheduling Jobs and complex processes in Scheduling (BMC Control-M).
* Scheduling backups and ensuring implementation (Symantec Netbackup).
* Making Changes and maintenance of the production systems.
