Corporate Finance Manager / Director

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top6 Accountancy Practice who are looking to strengthen their Bristol team and recruit for a Corporate Finance Associate Director. The firm has an enviable reputation across the UK & Internationally, providing a range of CF & restructuring services including insolvencies, administrations and receiverships to a wide-ranging client base. You will play a key role in marketing CF events, leading business development initiatives and winning new client work, negotiating and closing sales opportunities and managing client relationships. Other key duties include:

• Building an extensive network of business and client contacts across Restructuring and Advisory markets, using this network to share knowledge and experience
• Planning networking activities, generating new work and acting as the key contact in business development
• Providing relevant, commercial and innovative solutions to client pressure points & business issues
• Liaising with all stakeholders including Directors, Shareholders, Investors, Funders
• Working as a deal leader on complex and significant corporate finance assignments
• Report writing including New business proposals, Reports to Stakeholders, Strategic & options reviews/Business sale documents, Independent Business Reviews etc
• Acting as the “contact” point for advice on technical CF issues to peers and the team
• Coaching and mentoring staff members, identifying and dealing with performance issues
• Setting budgets, managing assignments against budget and applying best practice regarding departmental procedures, risk management and compliance
• Preparing reports and recommendations for lenders and other stakeholders

To be considered for the role you should ideally be a degree-educated and fully qualified ACA/ACCA/MBA or equivalent Corporate Finance Specialist with experience in all aspects of deal origination, business networking and staff supervision. You should have experience of business development and client wins, with preferred experience in corporate finance functions of accountancy firms or banks. Other advisory services experience would be desirable including acquisitions/disposals, debt & equity fundraisings, financial modelling assignments etc
