The Person
The Planning & Performance Operations Manager will have overall responsibility for the planning, implementation and delivery of train operating plans and service performance including management of staff, attribution of minutes / PPM delays and strategic decision-making relating to future rail service development and projects.
You will lead continuous improvement initiatives to ensure delivery of the highest standards of passenger service and that company performance and punctuality targets are achieved in the process. Responsibilities include management of train service disruption incidents, development and monitoring of the PPRP, Control Centre, Train Planning team and performance and operational interface with Network Rail.

The Person
The successful Planning & Performance Operations Manager will have previous rail experience in the delivery of busy train operating services across the network. You will have an excellent technical knowledge of modern railway operations and the relevant processes including signalling, railway infrastructure and frontline train crew / fleet management processes supported by a full understanding of schedules 4 and 8 of the Track Access Agreement.
Strong links in the Rail Industry are preferred with good people management and leadership abilities and IT / systems knowledge (Voyager Plan, BUGLE, Genius etc.).
