Corporate Finance Partner

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a high growth entrepreneurial Corporate Finance House who are looking to strengthen their executive team and recruit for a Corporate Finance Partner in the Thames Valley or South West region. The boutique has an enviable reputation across the UK for providing a range of M&A advisory services to technology focused businesses in the private, public, PE and VC-backed sectors. Working as part of the senior management team, key duties include:

• Taking the lead in delivering sell side, buy side and fundraising transactions in the £5m to £100m deal space
• Handling transactions from start to finish, acting as the deal leader throughout the process
• Supporting the successful conversion of new business leads through the pitch process and into new clients
• Actively developing and building the client services team to provide excellent support to all client processes
• Dealing with technology, media and telecom sectors and closing transactions for these clients
• Building relationships with VC’s and private equity providers to support their long term portfolio strategies
• Planning networking activities, generating new work and acting as the key contact in business development
• Providing relevant, commercial and innovative solutions to client pressure points & business issues
• Liaising with all stakeholders including Directors, Shareholders, Investors, Funders
• Report writing including New business proposals, Reports to Stakeholders, Strategic & options reviews/Business sale documents, Independent Business Reviews etc

To be considered for the role you should ideally be a degree-educated and fully qualified ACA/ACCA/MBA or equivalent Corporate Finance Director or Partner with experience in all aspects of CF deals and fundraising, business networking and business development. You should be comfortable working autonomously and remotely, with face-to-face meetings in the Berkshire office, and managing your own workload and planning. Experience of working with OMBs, PE/VC backed enterprises is critical, with a demonstrable track record of closing deals in the technology, media and telecoms sectors ideally. Whether you have a current background in Industry, Practice or another CF House is not important; you must though be entrepreneurial, be a self-starter and able to manage your own workloads.
