C# .NET (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, TDD) Software Architect / Software Development Manager (Analyst Developer) required by a leading travel company with head quarters near Heathrow (Middlesex). The Successful applicant will architect the redesign of a Legacy Application (currently in VMS) to .NET. All applicants will require experience at an architectural level of designing and developing complex software within .NET and MS SQL in a timely manner.
A proven background in building, leading, project managing a team of Software developers in a structured environment i.e. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, TDD. Whilst this is very much a management role, the successful incumbent will spend some time in a hands on capacity as they will take overall responsibility for the quality of the code, legacy integration and deployments.
Must have a software development background and possess a good understanding of modern software technologies (.NET, ASP, MVC, HTML5 / Javascript, Web Services, SQL).
Overall Responsibilities
* Serve as an expert in .NET capabilities, application design and development principles.
* Take responsibility for database and application design, overall code quality and package deployments.
* Build and Lead a team of Developers working to tight timeframes.
* Ensure technical cohesion across all developers and modules.
* Ensure adherence to Software development lifecycle methodology.
* Be a point of escalation for technical issues and risks identified by the development team.
* Provide leadership on risks and issues identified, identifying, prioritising and mitigating these,
* Present within and lead project team meetings.
