They have 12 manufacturing sites in Europe, USA and Asia and employ over 2000 people.

Reporting to the Operations Director responsible for manufacturing in the UK, you will lead from the front in order to improve existing manufacturing processes across the UK group. Working closely with the Manufacturing Manager, Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Supply Chain Team, your principal objectives will be to improve capacity through efficiency gains and bottleneck reduction, to create a culture of Continuous improvement with the aim of achieving formal recognition of our client's capability within two years, in the form of an appropriate award.

Key Areas of responsibility will be to build on best practices group wide, then to develop continuous improvement practices, to develop and document manufacturing processes, to lead productivity and reduce waste. An excellent team leader, you will be responsible for training team members with relevant skills to speed progress, be able to inspire others and work with drive and determination to create a strong team working ethic.

A minimum requirement for this position is a degree in either Engineering or Manufacturing. You can also point to your ability to train others in 'Manufacturing Systems Engineering' tools and 'Continuous Improvement skills'. Coupled with this is your excellent IT knowledge to plan, document and support and your ability to work with Six Sigma tools.
