A global business solutions provider based in Bristol are currently experiencing significant growth within their marketplace. Providing a comprehensive service offering to their international customers, they're continuing to grow and develop as a global enterprise.

As a result, as an organisation they are currently recruiting for a highly-motivated and self-driven Head of Set-Up, Legal and Corporate Governance to join a well-established Legal team.

Responsibilities and accountabilities
* Define and develop a range of products and services to meet client need, keep apace with market developments and generate increased revenue
* Develop and maintain technical capability and resource to effectively deliver the product/service range
* Develop controls to ensure efficiency of resource and prudent use of third party suppliers
* Manage, motivate and coach a team of professional individuals to deliver to a high standard and operate with a commercial focus
* Develop and manage department systems and processes to ensure effective quality control and risk management
* Develop and manage key internal stakeholder relationships to drive quality improvements and also the development of new client opportunities
* Actively seek opportunities to promote the department and participate in marketing activities such as conference attendance, network building, presenting webinars, generating content for articles and white papers etc
* Engage and develop positive relationships with clients that can maximise business opportunities and sustain long term relations
* Implement, monitor and deliver key business metrics whilst upholding company values and policies.
* Shape and cultivate a knowledge culture within the department to help share best practice and create reusable intellectual capital.

Key skills and knowledge

* Strong legal/regulatory knowledge and technical skills
* Good organisational skills with the ability to develop department processes and systems
* Ability to identify business development opportunities and develop products/services in support
* Leadership and coaching
* Ability to work to targets

Experience and qualifications
* Degree or professional qualification in law or other field of relevance desired
* Significant experience in a senior client facing legal or regulatory role that requires deep understanding and interpretation of law and the implementation of solutions to meet compliance requirements .
* Proven track record of delivering a high quality client service in a fast paced and demanding industry
* Used to working to, and delivering to challenging revenue targets
* Experience in managing a team of professionally graded employees
* Experience and proven capability in developing and managing workplace systems and processes
