A market leading high technology company are currently recruiting a Director of Communications to lead their global communications strategy.

Role: Director of Communications
As Director of Communications you will be responsible for:

+ Developing and implementing a communications strategy to ensure that the organisation meets its objectives
+ Providing expert consultation to support the development of an internal communications strategy working with the Employee Engagement Manager
+ Subject Matter Expert to all key leadership to ensure delivery of key messages and corporate priorities
+ Devising and executing communications strategy ensuring consistent messaging leveraging the full array of communication channels, including print, digital, broadcast and social media
+ Manage all aspects of the Group's public relations
+ Raising the company's profile by managing sponsorships, external events, writing speeches, presentations, articles, press releases, news items, briefings, printed publications and other communications materials
+ Monitoring and maintaining corporate reputation through management of the company brand in established and emerging markets
+ Oversee the management of the website and digital communications
+ Provide professional coordination and leadership to the marketing communication teams across the Group, improving standards, supporting the brand, coordinating activities and sharing best practice
+ Managing the communications budget

Experience:
As Director of Communications you will have experience of:

+ Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline
+ Relevant marketing qualifications such as CIM would be advantageous but not essential
+ Experience of writing material for diverse scientific / technical audiences and channels
+ Strong leadership experience with demonstrable effectiveness in leading teams through periods of change
+ Strong media engagement skills
+ Strong presentation skills
+ Excellent proof reading and editing skills are essential
