As one of the fastest growing businesses in the region, we are currently looking for:-
an experienced Business Unit Manager to manage the safe and efficient execution of Global Nearshore Drilling Business.
Reporting to the Board, you will be responsible for the performance of the Nearshore Business Unit, adhering to and developing company policies and systems of work with the cooperation of the other department/services within the company to deliver growth and results in line with the businesses plans and objectives.
Ensure compliance with HSE on all sites is upheld (with close liaison with Company HSEQ Manager). Manage the business unit in line with expectations and in the best interest the Fugro as well as being a representative of the Nearshore business within the Fugro Group.
The role will be predominantly based in our Bickland Office in Cornwall with a periodic requirement for time on site, vessel visits and external meetings as the business dictates.
The successful candidate will be versatile and proactive who can manage priorities, comply with company processes, solve problems and be supportive to colleagues. You will have experience of managing a business with a turnover in excess of €15mill as well as the effective management of a team of specialists and professionals. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills is obviously also essential. Expertise in Nearshore or marine contracting, drilling equipment, methodology and field work would be an advantage.
