summary of responsibilities and duties:

*Monthly Management Reporting to Head Office
*Preparation and review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
*Capital Expense requests
*Assist with Internal and External audit requirements
*Maintenance and review of system data/audit trail of data changes
*Creation of business cases for Primary Care, financial modelling
*Assist in preparation of annual budget, including preparation of the budget models for submission to head office, review of the models on return and entry of the figures into Meditech ensuring any changes are monitored
*To maintain and improve your knowledge of the internal and external issues impacting the business
*Provide training and support the department and hospital management on interpretation of financial reports
*Ensure monthly billing cut-off dates are met
*Monitor Aged Debtors
*To manage the Business Office team for sales administration and billing
*The post holder is required to ensure that the entities are compliant with UK GAAP and SOX along with the organisations financial guidelines APG
*To perform month end for the facilities
*To ensure all vendors are set up appropriately as required and to ensure the account payable work efficiently
*To attend the MAC/board meetings and represent the facilities financially
*To assist business development in succession planning and creating new agreements for these entities
*Implementation of a new Practice Management System for Primary Care
*Detailed review of current internal controls and processes
*Review and implement system access restrictions

In order to perform this role to experienced worker standard the post holder will need:

*Fully qualified accountant
*Big Four experience preferable, audit background.
*Experience in preparation of management accounts and support to cost and profit center managers.
*1-2 Years minimum industry experience.
*Experience in a similar organization / industry preferably.
*Detailed knowledge of groups accounting/finance systems (knowledge of Meditech would be beneficial).
*Computer literate including an excellent knowledge of Excel (macros, pivot tables).
*Devise solutions to constantly changing demands for presentation of information to Senior Management.
*Communicating with patients, consultants, visitors and the general public
*Liaising with other hospital departments e.g. Out Patients.
*Assist in developing the service in line with changing needs of the Group.
*Maintain confidentiality.
*Evidence of updating professional skills/knowledge.
*Ability to work independently and within a team.
