Fresh Meat Buying Director

One of the forerunners in the meat distribution industry across UK and Europe is looking for a highly competent and passionate Buying Director to join their continuously growing team.

As the Buying Director, you will be responsible for:

* Dealing with direct sources of meat such as farmers or cattle raisers
* Implementing strategies to minimize actual spend through strong negotiations
* Maintaining and establishing solid relationship with suppliers
* Ensuring that the quality of the products are maintained within standards
* Managing a team and fostering correlation with other departments
* Analysing market trends and range reviews
* Re evaluating the Purchasing function and implementing schemes to maximize its function

For this role you must have:

* Experience as a Buying Manager or Director in the fresh meat sector
* Well versed and knowledgeable with meat
* Solid commercial expertise in the meat processing industry
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Strong leadership skills
