Our client is a prominent and well established family owned business and a respected market leader in its field. The company is the UK's largest manufacturer of brand leading natural healthcare products, including homeopathic medicines, which are marketed and distributed to major customers in 70 countries worldwide.
The company has a 5 year strategic growth and continuous improvement plan, linked to known global demand, to improve processes and double the output levels of all of its products which are produced via in-house resources and external third party manufacturers. In support of this the Supply Chain organisation is being strengthened at management level in several areas, including this pivotal new role.
The Procurement Manager will develop and establish sophisticated organisational procurement capability and lead and manage all procurement activities, including inventory and non-inventory related, across the company. Ensuring that the procurement function aligns with and fully supports the delivery of the company's strategic business objectives, it will be important to work collaboratively with all functions and to proactively manage key supplier relationships ensuring best value and lowest risk. There will be significant scope for contribution, achievement and future career growth.
Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally be CIPS qualified. At least 2 years experience in a similar procurement management role is essential, preferably within a manufacturing business in the pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, cosmetics or foods sectors.
