Our client is a leading independent Automotive aftermarket supplier to national and independent retailers both nationally and internationally. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, our client operates in over 70 countries and can offer long-term stability and career development. As a result of continued success, they are wishing to recruit a Field Sales Manager to join their business.

Reporting to the Business Unit Directors, the Field Sales Manager has responsibility to manage and motivate the field sales team, ensuring the team is equipped to meet sales and margin targets and generate sustainable growth. The role is also to provide key account management to target customers and customer groups to stimulate growth and commitment within the scope of the strategic plans of the business. This is a key role within the business, having responsibility for P&L, NPD, Category and Promotional planning within a specific account base.

Key accountabilities include the recruitment and management of all aspects of the field sales team in order to deliver divisional sales and margin budget. You will agree and deploy sales and margin targets to members of your team, paying regular visits to team members in order to measure and monitor performance against these goals, as well as developing the skills of the individual in line with their Personal Development Plan. You will be allocated major accounts to manage to ensure they develop in line with the strategic plan. An awareness of market dynamics is necessary in order to enhance our client's position within the independent aftermarket.

With outstanding communication and people handling skills, you are an excellent team player who can exercise tact and diplomacy in dealings with people throughout the organisation and beyond. You must be a proven people manager, able to develop and direct remotely working team members, with excellent presentation skills on a personal, one to one and group level. Within your career you can point to considerable success in negotiating and influencing sales to category buyer/director level and your enthusiastic character is what sets you apart, delivering exceptional results.
