My client is a market leading manufacturer of avionics products who, due to continued and sustained growth, are looking for Senior Avionics Hardware Team Manager to join the Hardware Test & Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will be well versed in Avionics Hardware Design as well as being an exceptional manager of people and resources. Your ability to motivate a team and influence those around you will be key to success.

Daily Activities:
- To provide leadership, direction and support to the digital electronics hardware design team and additionally provides resource and functional support for projects largely biased towards display products and crew Interface systems.
- Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Required Experience/Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent level of experience
- Experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering environment
- Ability to lead a team of engineers within an electronics design environment over the full product life-cycle
- Experience of digital and/or analogue design of equipment and systems for the avionics, allied or similar industry
- Demonstrable ability to build effective cross-functional team relationships internally and externally with customers
- Effective team building and project management ability
- Knowledge of electronics design and assembly procedures
- Experience of supplier/sub-contract management
