Your role as a SCRUM Master / IT Delivery Team Manager will see you accountable for leading the Application Team and supporting the team members. You will be the buffer that stops your team from being distracted and ensuring they maintain focus on the tasks at hand.

We operate using AGILE / SCRUM development practices and WATERFALL / PRINCE 2 methodologies so experience within these is essential.

To be the successful leader we need your skills should include but not be limited to the following -

Certified or working towards appropriate Scrum Master qualification.
Certified or working towards appropriate Project Manager qualification.
Must be able to gain respect from his/her team and be willing to get their 'hands dirty' to get the job done.
Communicative and social - Must be able to communicate well with teams.
Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-added principles to a team.
Must be able to ensure appropriate concepts and principles are adhered to where needed, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority and make the tough calls.
Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise and elevate them to management.
Must continually be growing and developing techniques to manage oneself and a team.
Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with common IT Delivery practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices.
Understand fundamentals of Agile development and Scrum.
Understand fundamentals of other delivery methodologies, (e.g. Waterfall/Prince2) and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team.
Understand fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.
Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics.
