IP-Trade Mark Solicitor

High profile City Law Firm with a busy Trade Mark/IP Department, is seeking an IP-Trade Mark Solicitor. You will have a background in private practice and be 3+years PQE.
You will take over an existing trade mark and IP workload with varied and interesting trade mark and IP work for a broad spectrum of clients. The role will suit an ambitious solicitor eager to capitalise on their existing skills and with a desire to make their mark on the IP Department and the firm.

Essential criteria:
*Qualified Solicitor or equivalent with an excellent track record of achievement to date
*3+ years PQE specialist Trade Mark/IP experience working in private practice in a busy Trade Mark/IP Dept
*Detailed technical knowledge of Trade Mark law and practice
*Have first-rate analytical and drafting skills - co-existence agreements, settlement agreements, witness statements etc
*Ability to work with minimal supervision on a demanding workload of oppositions, invalidations, contested trade mark matters, cyber-squatting issues, domain name disputes and to work to critical dates and deadlines
*Understand and advise on complex trade mark issues - often international
*Able to run contentious IP matters (passing off, infringements etc) under supervision of a litigation partner
*Solid UK and International trade mark experience
*Entrepreneurial instinct to identify ways in which clients can best protect and commercialise their intellectual property
*Good negotiating skills
