Legal & Regulatory Manager
Bristol - South West
One of the UK's largest Insurance Companies is seeking a Legal and Regulatory Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high profile and successful company that has International acclaim.
The role is suited to those who have extensive experience of regulatory functions and legal systems from either an Insurance or Financial Services background or for a Qualified Lawyer / Barrister.
The Role:
Responsible for leading a team of legal and compliance professions to ensure the company's continued regulatory compliance with the expectations of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
Adherence to essential business regulations and our other legal obligations e.g. adherence to the Data Protection Act and other relevant acts, statutes and regulations.
Responsible for producing, updating and managing legal documents to ensure the UK Group interests and activities are suitability protected; this applies to the statutory companies, reinsurance branch, managing agent operations and any ancillary operations.
Work with others to drive the achievement of and learn from the Company's internal audit schedules; thus improving our business performance, efficiencies, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
Monitor, report and direct on future and impending legislative and regulatory issues and ensure the Group is suitably aware.
Oversee the Company Secretarial function of ARAG PLC and any subsidiaries.
To be eligible for this specialist vacancy, please ensure you meet the following criteria:
Qualified Lawyer / Barrister 4 years PQE OR Insurance / Finance Professional with Regulatory and Legal knowledge and experience
FCA, Data Protection Act and other Regulatory Compliance
Company Secretarial experience
Experience of reporting at Board level
Line management experience / qualifications
Project management experience / qualifications
