EMEA Finance Manager
Gloucester - South West
McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Global Communications business who are looking to recruit an EMEA Finance Manager who can support the French & German operations and take responsibility for all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. With fluent FRENCH language skills (German would be an advantage too) and ideally a Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA Accountant, key duties include:
• Implementing and maintaining effective financial controls across the French & German entities
• Taking a lead role in implementing changes to working practices, IT systems and internal controls across the two businesses
• Monitoring key business performance measures to help support the company’s financial targets
• Acting as a key support to the Regional VP and EMEA Finance Director, and others in the senior management team
• Responsible for all management and statutory reporting requirements across France & Germany.
• Liaising closely with external auditors, tax advisors and HQ through the annual audit process
• Submitting financial information in line with global reporting requirements and ensuring the integrity of reported numbers, estimates, forecasts and plans.
• Point of contact with operations, technical services, procurement, supply chain and suppliers in order to resolve finance-related issues
• Inventory reconciliations and provisioning requirement analysis
• Winding down any legacy system ledgers post conversion to a new IT system
• Driving integration with the Shared Service Centre based in the UK (across AR, AP, Cash, Inventory and Fixed Assets)
• Staff management of a team of 5, remotely based in France & Germany
To be considered for the role you should be fluent in FRENCH, and if you speak German that would be an advantage too (but not essential) along with a European or UK Accounting qualification. You should have knowledge of French GAAP and US GAAP with strong staff management skills and experience of implementing robust internal controls. Other desirable skills include strong statutory accounts experience, IT system implementation/upgrade experience and being able to work to strict month-end close and reporting deadlines.
