Senior Audit Manager

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top6 Accountancy Practice who are looking to strengthen their Auditing team and recruit for an Audit Manager and Senior Audit Manager, ideally with housing association audit experience. The firm has an enviable reputation across the UK & Internationally, providing a range of Audit & Accounting services to listed PLC's, OMBs and major private companies. Reporting to one of the Partners, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and co-ordinating all aspects of Audits and managing large audit teams
• Assisting Partners with managing key client portfolios and producing reports to management
• Ensuring all team members are supervised on audit assignments.
• Arranging file reviews within agreed time schedules to ensure audit quality and a standardised approach
• Performing spot checks on files prior to being passed to Partners
• Controlling the audit in relation to timescales, budgets and risk management procedures
• Providing technical assistance (accounting and audit) and performing technical checks
• Organisation of work allocation, work flow, processes and resources for the team
• Dealing with any concerns regarding audit assignments with Partners, and adhering to risk management policies and procedures

To be considered for the role you should ideally be a degree-educated and fully qualified ACA/ACCA Audit Manager from another top Accountancy Firm with strong staff management skills. You should be up to date with current auditing methodologies, have managed key client portfolios within the public sector, and housing association experience would be a distinct advantage. You should be self-motivated, energetic, be able to take the initiative with excellent planning, organisational and team working skills.

On offer is a salary up to £50,000 for the Audit Manager role and £65,000 for the Senior Audit Manager with benefits to include company pension, healthcare, DIS, Income Protection and holidays.
