Due to impending retirement, a need has arisen for an astute and technically rounded individual to provide a bi-directional interface with member companies.
Role
• Devise proactive plans to obtain and disseminate reports and updates from on collaborative research activities likely to be relevant to Members.
• Monitor, interpret and report technical standards and legislation developments via appropriate entities, publications and events.
• Respond to enquiries on technical matters, providing information and advice directly and through the administration of a Technical Publications library.
• Bring greater focus to how the company presents its capabilities and its products into the market by means of technical circulars, newsletters, and meetings, seminars on key topics.
• Foster relations with authoritative committees and funding bodies to ensure up to date information is readily available.
You
• Should demonstrate a broad based expertise from within a technical manufacturing environment, preferably with a mechanical precision engineering bias.
• Conversant with an array of industry specific Quality Standards and appropriate Compliance procedures pertinent to R&D activities and NPD programmes.
• Will have a natural tendency to seek out information and relay to relevant interest groups.
• Able to assimilate technical complexities and articulate in both oral and written forms to enhance both inter-departmental and external communications.
• Welcome the prospect of working within a team supporting best practice culture, whilst striving for notable customer service levels.
