Transactional Counsel - Financial Services
City of London - London
Legal Department of a high profile global financial services provider, is seeking a Transactional Counsel for 6 months.
The Role:
- Preparing and negotiating a wide range of contracts and helping clients with respect to business transactions in: consulting technology, information services, data licensing, vendor management and outsourcing.
- Structure, draft and negotiate product development and distribution agreements, consulting agreements, data evaluation and license agreements, services agreements, pilot agreements, commercial alliances, strategic business transactions, joint venture and technology licensing agreements.
- Participate in the product development process, issue-spotting and providing proactive solution oriented counsel to guide the team to workable solutions
- Review sales and marketing materials and other internal and external communications as necessary
- Partner with subject matter experts in legal/privacy, intellectual property, finance, sales, technologies, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure product constructs and commercial agreements are consistent with corporate strategy and internal policies and procedures
- Significant contact with the business clients on a daily basis with respect to transactional issues
Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: circa £430 - £450 per day (flex depending on PQE)
Eligibility:
Qualified Solicitor with Current Practising Certificate
Commercial and related transactional experience, expert drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
Experience in the banking, information technology and/or financial services industry is a plus as is knowledge of competition, data privacy, credit reporting.
